Is there some connection between jonax.se and Linux?

-No, the programs are made for Windows. However there's good hope for successfully running them under Wine.

What does freeware mean?

The program labeled as "freeware" are free to download and use. Currently that includes: ROSPOC, PopDyn, MaxD and bVoid.

How can I turn on the music and sound-effects?

-There is no audio support in the jonax.se programs. If you want music your favourite CD or MP3-file is recommended.

Why ZIP-compression?

-ZIP-compression makes that the resulting ZIP-file smaller which makes downloading faster.

-One ZIP-file may contain several ordinary files which makes downloading easier.

-Safety. Unpacking and installing from ZIP is not as simple and convenient as using the install-link. However you can see what files you've donwloaded and, if desired, run a virus-scan on them before proceeding.

How can I unpack a ZIP-file?

-Use some ZIP-program. If you don't have one already it may be a good idea to get one. There are plenty of free ZIP-programs on the internet (e.g. ZIP Reader by PKWARE). Use a search engine to find them.

In what ways does jonax.se try to be eco-friendly?

The files are fairly small and doesn't demand much from the internet infrastructure during downloading. This is of course also an advantage for visitors with limited bandwidth. E.g. users of phone modems.

The programs also have modest system demands, especially pertaining the graphics. There is no need to buy an electricity guzzling monster-PC just for running the jonax-programs. Suggestion: search for fan-less PCs based on processors for mobile systems next time you buy a new PC. Very quiet and not demanding much energy. Still a bit expensive perhaps.
